Congratulations to Rachel Dee who has been elected unopposed as our new President. We know that all members will give Rachel tremendous support as she carries out her important duties. She has also stated that she will continue as Membership Secretary.
The vacancy arose because Jane Hamlin has reached the end of her second term as President and so after six years in the post she felt it was time for someone with fresh ideas and new energy to lead the Beaumont Society forward.
Thank you, for all your work, Jane. Those will be big shoes to fill!
I shall look forward to Rachel’s first appearance on breakfast TV.

Great! Congrats to Rachel.
Sorry to see you go, though, Jane.
Congratulations Rachel. I wish you every success for this important role within our society.
Many thanks to Jane for doing an amazing job and representing the Beaumont Society so well.

Thanks for your kind words, Sophie and Eve. I will probably still be around being a nuisance. xx
I think we’ve moved forward by a huge amount under your presidency, Jane. It’s been a privilege working with you for the last six years (and before that, when we jointly wrote the society’s submission to the Commons Select Committee way back in 2014/15). Fortunately, if there’s one person I get on with as well as with you, it’s Rachel!
Congratulations to Rachel I look forward to the society moving forward under her in a similar way to under you Jane. It is only by standing on the shoulders of the giants that came before us that we can see clearly the way ahead.
I can only echo what has previously been said. Thank you, Jane, for all of your work as President. You have done a fantastic job. Rachel will, I’m sure, continue to support the trans community in every way possible. She’s a good friend, so I’d better behave myself!
Thank you Jane for all your work since I joined the Society in 2018.
Congratulations Rachel in your election as President. I wish you success in the future.
Thanks, Zoe. I have enjoyed my time as President, but my spouse wants me to spend more time with her – which is nice.
I am pleased on both counts. Enjoy your time together.
