Dear Beaumont Society

My name is Karl Mears and I am a PhD student at the University of Bath. I am running a study whereby I interview people diagnosed with gender dysphoria to capture their thoughts and opinions on some existing measures of gender dysphoria. I strongly believe existing measures of gender dysphoria are inappropriate for use and there is a need for a new measure. I would like to get the voices of people these measures are intended to help to highlight their strengths and weaknesses.

While I appreciate not everyone that is subscribed to your service experiences gender dysphoria, I was wondering if I could use this service to recruit some participants and to discuss how to do this, or be signposted to places I may be able to.

Interviews are done remotely, via Microsoft Teams, and should last for up to 1 hour. As a thank you for taking part, participants are entered into a prize draw to win a £25 Amazon voucher.
